Let it be known, let it be heard. “What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson. Today I had a interesting conversation with a good friend Ben Chen. Through many conversations he noticed that I wasn't really fond of myself or liked myself. Shocked by what he said I asked him could you possibly love yourself for its entirety. Even perfection can be a little distasteful. He assumed such a thing because I always use "I wish". Its unfortunately that I might have to agree with him about me not liking myself to its entirety but do people really like themselves 100% of the time, every second, minute, hour and so on. He is right though, you should love oneself and instead of saying "I wish" a lot, choose a better word. Don't get jealous easily, be happy for them and tell them that you admire them for their happiness/achievement. I love the world "admire" a word i don't want to use loosely, like many other words.
There are many people I admire in life. Recently, it has been again Ben Chen and Catalina Cornejo. Ben Chen, a son of a pastor who wants to be a social worker. He has traveled from taiwan, to cali, to new york many times. I admire him a lot for his friendship and sincerity. He is going to be a great man one day. Catalina Cornejo, freshman in college. She has so much going for her. I can't really say she dreams of becoming a pilot because I know she will. She joined the Army Reserve yesterday. I admire these people so much. These people will make this world a beautiful place and SO WILL I WHEN I MAKE MY MARK.....BUT JUST HOW? for now I'll continue to conjure up ideas but for now I'll sit back and admire those who deserve admiration.
I would like to end this off by saying, love oneself through thick and thin, no matter how silly it may seem because it can only make you stronger towards your goal/nirvana.

we all want to be remembered for something, but some of us will lead a normal life. We try our best and hope for the smallest acknowledgment for it.
